Ratio.City, a division of Esri Canada
Ratio.City, the Toronto-based planning-analytics platform owned by Esri Canada, published a case study describing how Metrosuite uses lot-level zoning and site analysis to decide what a property can carry before any design work is commissioned.
The piece follows Metrosuite's feasibility stage: testing an address against as-of-right permissions, lot geometry and servicing, producing a go/no-go and a concept, and using the result to size the building and the budget. It is the stage described on our How we build page and applied to every site in the current programme.
Metrosuite is grateful for the account. Third-party validation of the method is rarer than a good line of copy, and it is the reason we still start every project the same way.
